Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th of December 1991. He is the son of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. His mother is caucasian and his father is Nigerian. When he graduated of Sanderson High School, in 2010 he enrolled at Wake Forest University and obtained an Economics Bachelor's Degree. James' fame kick-started after he appeared on screen for his first appearance as a reality TV star on The Bachelorette. In the year 2020, he was selected as the bachelor on The Bachelor's season 25, becoming the only African American male lead which will premiere in 2021. James was a perfect fit to the job because he is handsome well-rounded tall and has a good sense of humor. The season concluded when he chose Rachael Krkconnell to start an affair with the actress. He joined forces with popular professional dancer Arnold in 2021 to compete in the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold finished 12th on the show.
